From Lawyer to Law Firm

Serving law firms across Florida

Fractional COO & CFO for Florida law firms.

From a Tampa home base, I work one on one with solo and small-firm owners across Florida, running the operations and finance side of the firm so the owner can get back to the work only they can do. Remote-first, statewide, and always direct. When you call, you get me.

One operator, statewide

Florida is a state of small firms. I work with the people running them.

Florida's legal market is enormous and overwhelmingly made up of solo and small firms. Across Tampa Bay, Orlando, Jacksonville, Miami, and dozens of smaller markets in between, the same pattern repeats: a capable attorney builds a book of business, the work comes in, and the business side of the firm never quite catches up. The owner ends up doing two jobs, practicing law and trying to run a company they were never trained to run.

That is the gap I close. As a fractional COO, I build the operations a growing firm needs, intake, case flow, hiring, and the routines that let the work run without the owner in every decision. As a fractional CFO, I get the numbers legible: real margins, forecastable cash, and a defensible plan for what the owner takes home. Together, those two roles turn a busy practice into a business that holds up.

A statewide reach is possible because the work is remote-first by design, and because it is always one on one. I take on a limited number of firms so that every owner I work with gets me directly, not a junior account team and not a templated playbook applied without looking at how their firm actually runs.

How statewide work happens

Remote-first, with a Tampa home base.

The reality of fractional operations and finance work is that most of it happens just as well remotely as it would in person. Reviewing the books, building systems, training a team, planning the next quarter, none of it depends on being in the same room. That is what lets me serve firms in every corner of Florida without diluting the attention each one gets.

Tampa is home base, so Tampa Bay firms naturally see more in-person time. For firms elsewhere in the state, I travel when a project genuinely calls for it, and we keep the engagement focused on outcomes the rest of the time. I would rather set that expectation honestly than promise a constant on-site presence that would not serve the work anyway.

Whatever the city, the engagement is the same: one experienced operator who knows your firm and is available to you directly. The business side finally gets the attention you have not had time to give it.

Where I work in Florida

Florida markets I serve.

Below are the markets with their own pages. If your city is not listed, that does not mean I cannot help. Remote-first work reaches firms statewide, so reach out and we will talk through it.

Tampa

Home base. The most in-person availability and the deepest roots in the local legal community.

St. Petersburg

Across the bay and squarely in the Tampa Bay service area, with easy in-person access when a project calls for it.

Clearwater

Pinellas County firms, supported with a mix of remote work and in-person time as projects require.

Orlando

A fast-growing market served remote-first from Tampa, with occasional in-person time when the work benefits from it.

Beyond these markets, I also work with firms in Jacksonville, Miami, and across the rest of the state on the same remote-first basis.
